Mr CR Selva


CR Selva has 25 years of experience with the Malaysian Immigration Department. He joined the civil service as an immigration officer in 1989 and retired from service as the Head of International Affairs. 

During his years with the Enforcement Division of the Immigration Department, CR Selva dealt with a wide range of immigration issues involving local and foreign employers, including possession of fraudulent Passes and Visas, internal travel documents and passports. He was a Immigration Department Prosecutor for 18 years. 

As a Country Negotiator in the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) on  Movements of Natural Persons in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and Industry, CR Selva has experience working with a multitude of foreign bodies, both government and private. 

CR Selva holds a Certificate and Diploma in Public Relations (IPRM), and is in the process of finalising his PhD in Human Trafficking and Fraudulent Documents at the National University of Malaysia. 

In his spare time, CR Selva conducts training on immigration law for various State and Federal authorities. He is also a qualified document examiner. 

Holds Certificate and Diploma in Public Relation (IPRM).Admitted to Malaysian BAR in 2006. Completed Masters in Law and currently a PhD candidate (Human-Traffiking) in Law at National University Of Malaysia. 

Also a Trainer in Law, Document examination,(Forensic), Interpersonal and Effective  Communication and Stress Management for Immigration Department Malaysia. He was called to the Bar in 2006.
