Mr S Radhakrishnan

 

Mr. S. Radhakrishnan served in the Government Education Service as a trained teacher (1961 - 1975). During this period he was an active trade unionist as well as an active educationist. He was the Director of Education of the Malaysian Trades Union Congress (MTUC) - the national centre for labour in the country (1969 - 1975). He was also the Vice President of the National Union of the Teaching Profession (1971 - 1974). He was also the President of the Malaysian Educators Social Action Council (1970 - 1974). 

He resigned from the government service in 1975 to read law in London. He was called to the English Bar at the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, England in July 1978. He was called to the Malaysian Bar in September, 1979. 

He is a Barrister-at-Law (Inner Temple). He is an Advocate & Solicitor. He is currently a Consultant of Shearn Delamore & Co. He is the former Honorary Secretary of the Asean Law Association of Malaysia. He is the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the English Language Centre of the British Council, Malaysia. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the English Speaking Union of Malaysia. He is the Past President of the Medico-Legal Society of Malaysia. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Malaysian Medical Association Foundation. 

Mr. Radhakirshnan is the author of the Malaysian Chapter on International Insurance Law and Regulation, a publication of the Center for International Legal Studies, Salzburg, Austria.
